PROJECT OVERVIEW

I designed for Playboy.com and the Playboy Cyber Club (subscription site) for 5 years (2000-2005). As one of the few lead designers, I was solely responsible for the original design and HTML hand coding of five entire sections of the site as well as contributing to the overall site style, structure and navigation of Playboy.com.

Contrary to popular belief, there was a lot more to the site than just adult-oriented material. Subjects varied from original editorial features produced by Playboy.com to repurposing articles from Playboy magazine to the web.

CHALLENGE

Design and hand-code eye-catching online feature and template designs that each have their own unique look and feel (like a magazine article), yet still remain within the style of Playboy.com.

SOLUTION

• Designed detailed and original photoshop composited designs that I could translate into hand-coded HTML.
• Created unique viewing experiences for all online features, pictorials, interviews, voting poles, and editorial reviews.
